Welcome to Rosholt

About Rosholt

The Village of Rosholt may not be known by many outside of Portage County, but it offers a lot for it’s residents. Rosholt reported a population of 506 during the 2010 census, giving it that true Small Town USA feeling.

Rosholt is the home of the Portage County Fair, which happens at the end of August every year. The fair offers live music, carnival rides, fair food, and even has a demolition derby to close out the fair. The kids will love the ride wristbands as it allows them to ride as many rides as they want within a set period of time. More information about the Portage County Fair can be found here.

Rosholt is also home to some exceptional local restaurants. The Brick Pit House is one of these local stops and is known for it’s smoked ribs and chicken. The BBQ has been known to pull people in from all around the state and should be something to try if you’re passing through. If you’re looking for some good pizza and a local beer to pair with your meal, visit McZ’s Brew Pub. This microbrewery serves 10 house brewed beers on tap, along with many delicious options for flatbreads, paninis, and pizza. It’s worth the stop if you’re a craft beer enthusiast.

While Rosholt is small, it brings together a combination of small-town charm with big city style eats. If you want to check out the area for yourself, search through some of the listings below and plan your trip today!
